PET/CT Billed Charges

Rising healthcare costs force 1-in-3 Americans to delay or skip care due to affordability concerns.

NCPIC is here to help, offering PET/CT imaging with billed charges that may be up to 80% lower than hospital-based care.

Billed Charges Comparison (2026): High-Cost Hospital $22,848, Sage Hospital Ave. $15,500, Northern Cal. PET (NCPIC) $4,659 — NCPIC savings up to $18,000 per exam.

How we do it

Northern California PET Imaging Center is a nonprofit, outpatient healthcare organization specializing exclusively in PET/CT imaging. Unlike hospital providers with higher overhead, NCPIC operates independently – allowing greater efficiency and the potential for 40–80% lower billed charges for equivalent (or superior) PET/CT imaging services.

Does lower rates mean inferior technology?

Absolutely not! NCPIC has been pioneering molecular PET imaging since 1992 and provides top-tier medical imaging for our referring care teams and patients. For example, NCPIC continues to invest in and lead the adoption of modern digital PET/CT technology – enabling faster exam times, lower FDG dose requirements, grain-of-rice resolution. We also use advanced 80- or 160-slice CT imaging to improve diagnostic quality.

95% Positive Patient Recommend Rate

NCPIC is nationally recognized for its expertise and compassionate care. To date, we have performed more than 75,000 exams across oncology, neurology, and research, earning a high level of patient trust. NCPIC tracks patient experience through a comment card program, with more than 95% of respondents rating their experience as “excellent” and stating “they would recommend” NCPIC to family and friends.
