WHO IS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PET IMAGING?

  • NCPIC is a not-for-profit community-benefit organization sponsored by Sutter Medical Center and Mercy Healthcare Sacramento. NCPIC receives referrals from the entire Northern California region and is a specialty referral site for the NIH grants.


  • NCPIC has performed over 20,000 PET scans in its 15-year history. In addition to providing clinical PET, clinical PET/CT, diagnostic CT, and now Positron Emission Mammography (PEM)! NCPIC takes part in producing clinical research supporting the uses of PET in new indications and with new radiopharmaceuticals. It is this uniqueness that continues to make NCPIC a nationally known center of excellence.


  • NCPIC services are now available to serve patients in six locations (Midtown, Sacramento; Sutter Roseville Medical Center, Roseville; Mercy San Juan Medical Center, Carmichael; Woodland Healthcare, Woodland; NorthBay Medical Center, Fairfield; and Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, Grass Valley), with one convenient scheduling number: (916) 737-3211 or toll free (888) PET-3211.   • NCPIC is the only free-standing PET center in Northern California to offer Category 1 CMEs in a physician preceptorship program training PET physicians across the country.
Mission for 2008:

Continue to be the premier PET resource for Northern California by:

  • Collaborating with the medical community to develop and validate new radiopharmaceuticals and technology.
  • Provide concise and timely interpretations that will assist with patient management.

    Continue the Center's commitment and passion for this technology and service to the community.
